19 Stakes winner for Reset

Reset mare Star Of Giselle wins the Listed Race-Tech Stakes at Caulfield

In what was a great day for the Darley stallions, winning three of the four Stakes races on Thousand Guineas day, Reset mare Star Of Giselle became the 19th Stakes winner for her sire with victory in the Listed Race-Tech Stakes over 1600m.

A winner of six of her 16 starts, the Reset mare skipped away from the gates too well and was sent to the lead by jockey Craig Williams. Taken on throughout the run by Blue Nile, the Matthew Ellerton and Simon Zahra-trained mare was too tough, holding on to defeat Oasis Bloom and Mabsam.

Bred by Contract Racing Pty Ltd, Mr N Psaltis and Mrs G Psaltis, Star Of Giselle is out of the Stakes-winning Danehill mare Princesa, who out of the G1 winner Kapchat from the family of Kaphero, Courtza and Our Pompeii. Princessa has a two-year-old filly by Street Cry and a yearling colt by Domesday.

Standing the current season at Darley’s Victorian farm Northwood Park at a fee of $16,500 (inc. GST), Reset is the sire of 19 Stakes winners including this season impressive dual Stakes winner Fawkner, as well as last year’s G1 WS Cox Plate heroine Pinker Pinker.
